Our Story
StormPhantom was founded in 2019 by a group of Sydney-based gamers who were frustrated by the lack of Australian-focused gaming coverage. Too many reviews were written from a Northern Hemisphere perspective, ignoring the unique gaming culture, server infrastructure, and community that exists in Australia and New Zealand.
We set out to build a platform that puts Australian players first — reviewing games with local server performance in mind, covering esports events happening in our own backyard, and building a community where Aussie gamers feel at home.
Today, StormPhantom reaches over 80,000 readers every month and has become the go-to source for gaming news, in-depth reviews, and esports tournament coverage across Australia.
